I've let the site sit for about a week or so. I wanted to make sure the increase in traffic wasn't simply due to chance.
Here's an update:
Page rank - 0/10
Average visitors per day - 147
The page rank is still the same. But the average number of visitors per day has risen by 43 since I started this test. For such a simple change that's pretty impressive.
Now I'm going to apply the next of Nathan's tips.

Absolute Beginners Guide to SEO - Day 3
Well it's been a couple of days since I put into practice the first technique from Nathan and Pat's video. Here's an update:
Page rank - 0/10
Average visitors per day - 134
That means the page rank is still the same. But the average number of visitors per day has risen by 30.
I'm going to leave it another couple of days to see if the trend continues. Then I'll tweak my site with another of Nathan's tricks.

Absolute Beginners Guide to SEO - Day 1
In this blog, I'm reviewing Pat O'Bryan's and Nathan Anderson's Absolute Beginners Guide to SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
SEO is basically a technique for increasing traffic to your site. By tweaking your website and encouraging more people to link to your website, you increase your page rank on Google. By increasing your page rank on Google, your site is listed higher in Google. By listing higher in Google, your site will attract more traffic and more traffic means more customers and/or subscribers.
As a test case I'll use the site selling my ebook, Inspired Attraction. It's a book about the law of attraction. It's been selling well but like my old school report used to say 'could do better.'
Before I implement everything I've learnt from the Absolute Beginners Guide to SEO, I'll baseline the page rank of my site and the number of daily visitors. This will give me something to compare against as I put Pat and Nathan's information in to action.

First Technique
The first technique Nathan recommends is to discover the keywords for your site and change your site to make the most of these keywords.
As my ebook in based on the law of attraction, that seems to be the obvious keyword. So I'll plug that into Good Keywords and see what suggestions it comes back with.
Okay, the top suggestions for base keyword law of attraction are:
#1 law of attraction - 25123
#2 attraction law - 12442
#3 attraction law secret - 3441
#4 abraham attraction basics law teachings - 3021
The numbers after the keywords are the number of searches on these keyword per month. So 25,123 people searched on the keywords law of attraction in the last month.
So I'll take those keywords and tweak the website. I'll let you know the results in a couple of days.
